When you think of getting x-rays or models made of your teeth at the dentist’s office, you usually think of the contraption that goes around you while you hold a piece of cardboard between your teeth, or worse, holding plaster in your mouth while a mold is made. Well, there is something new, called an OraScan that’s worth checking out the next time your dentists says your due. |
Your dentist or orthodontist can now see a full 3-D picture of your mouth, and your dentist can store, retrieve and review your diagnosis throughout your dental care. |
This new system, which comes with the OraScan Workstation, includes diagnosis and treatment planning software (that’s right, computerized!) to develop a treatment plan for the patient. You and your dentist can look on a computer screen and see exactly what your teeth look like, consider options for you, and he or she can make a recommendation. This software program can even tell how long your treatment will take! |
When your orthodontist designs your individualized treatment program, he or she can send it immediately to the Precision Appliance Service Center and order your wires. The wires will arrive by your next visit. |
Ask your dentist or orthodontist about the OraScan Plan, and see if it might be right for you! |
