The Multi-loop Edgewise Archwire, or MEAW, was first introduced to the orthodontic community over 20 years ago, and is still considered one of the best forms of treatment for various malocclusions, or "bad bites."

How MEAW Works

The Multi-loop Edgewise Archwire provides patients with an alternative to orthodontic surgery for cases that include crowded teeth, spaced teeth, cross bites, and under or over bites. The MEAW is a rectangular wire that, along with elastics, helps guide teeth into the correct position. Each wire is changed periodically throughout treatment as the teeth move into their desired positions. The total treatment time depends on each individual case.
